Custom automotive-part enquiries include ductile-iron and cast-iron sand castings with precision machining. Aluminum sand-cast components are a separate material request, with the selected grade, drawing and delivered condition defined for each actual item.
Establish the part and its mating geometry
Provide the component drawing and the interfaces that determine installation within the automotive assembly. Select the iron family or aluminum grade and identify the required material condition. Mark the surfaces needing machining and the dimensions that govern their relationship.
Define the intended limits of the tolerance request
For the 0.1–0.05 mm reference, specify the intended limits, convention and controlled dimensions on the drawing. Identify the supplied stage and measurement basis for the requested machining acceptance. These details let the precision enquiry be evaluated against a defined finished part.
