A power-steering pump housing needs its cast body and finished interfaces defined through the component drawing. This OEM/ODM aluminum sand-casting enquiry includes customized CNC machining, dimensions, color, logo and customer-required surface finish. Identify the actual housing and its assembly requirements before selecting the machining scope.
Define the housing interfaces that control assembly
Show the mounting arrangement and any bores, faces or connections that must match the pump assembly. Place their finished limits and reference datums on the drawing. Describe the intended operating conditions and any required acceptance checks for the housing so material and dimensional requirements can be reviewed together.
- Submit the pump-housing drawing and controlled revision.
- Select the aluminum grade and required quantity.
- Mark finished interfaces and machining acceptance dimensions.
- Describe the requested color, logo and surface condition.
Allocate machining operations to the actual geometry
Milling and turning/lathing are included in the custom CNC scope. Broaching, drilling, etching or chemical machining, laser machining, wire EDM and rapid prototyping are additional named services to select where required. The machining offering is non-micro machining; define the actual geometry and inspection requirement rather than assuming fine-scale capability from a general precision request.
Keep other metal enquiries separate from the aluminum housing
Brass, bronze, copper, hardened metals, precious metals, stainless steel and steel alloys are additional material capabilities. An enquiry for those metals should identify its own component, grade and incoming blank. They do not change the material identity of the requested aluminum pump housing.
Agree the supplied condition and application acceptance
Specify whether the housing enquiry includes the cast body, selected finished machining and the requested surface work. Define any fit or operating-condition acceptance required by the project. A controlled housing specification establishes the purchase requirement without relying on a generic vehicle or pump description.
