Metal caster selection should consider the wheel and the complete mounting, bearing and brake arrangement. This custom iron/steel caster enquiry includes sand casting, double bearings and thread guards. Rigid, swivel and swivel-with-brake configurations are actual selectable options, with OEM, ODM and OBM support.
Choose the diameter and movement configuration
Actual diameter selections are 2.5, 3, 4 and 5 inches. Additional size enquiries name 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4 and 5 inches with nominal 40, 50, 63, 75, 100 and 125 mm references. Wheel width is 30 mm; specify the selected size and mounting geometry for the intended installation.

Match brake and load requirements to the assembly
Brake enquiries include no brake, swivel with brake, total lock and side-pedal brake. Select the actual brake function required by the installation. High load capability is stated, with the selected rating and acceptance basis to be agreed for the caster and its use.
Define the high-temperature requirement completely
For the 500-degree high-temperature enquiry, specify the temperature unit and exposure conditions. Identify the allowable load and operating requirements for the complete wheel, bearing and brake arrangement under those conditions. The component selection should address that complete duty rather than the wheel material alone.
Agree customization and warranty terms
Provide the required geometry and any custom component requirements. Warranty terms need to be agreed for the selected caster. The diameter, configuration and operating acceptance should identify the actual assembly being ordered.
