GG20 cast-iron component enquiries are offered for heavy equipment, mining and construction. OEM/ODM requests should identify the actual part and material requirement, with other metal projects carrying their own geometry and manufacturing brief.

Select the grade and route for each component

Additional materials include steel, aluminum, magnesium, zinc, brass, bronze, copper, hardened metals and precious metals. Die, sand, investment and lost-foam casting are named routes to choose for the actual grade and shape. Quenching and tempering or solution and aging are treatment options to match to the selected alloy and required condition.

Define the inspection needed for the duty

Metallographic analysis, MT, UT, RT, CMM, 100% visual checks and 100% gauge checks are within the named inspection scope. Identify the methods, areas and acceptance limits needed for the selected component. Relate those checks to the material and functional dimensions established by the design.

  • Supply 2D PDF/CAD or 3D IGES/STEP geometry.
  • Select the complete grade and manufacturing route.
  • Specify treatment condition and controlled interfaces.
  • Define inspection coverage and approval records.
  • State quantity and the required delivered surface.

Complete finish and document requirements

Powder coating, zinc plating and laser engraving are named surface choices. Specify the applicable ASTM, AISI, DIN, BS, JIS, NF or AS documents and request relevant ISO9001:2015 and IATF16949 supplier scope. Automotive, motorcycle, energy, medical-device or robotics requests should include their actual component duty and acceptance requirements.
