OEM custom iron-component enquiries cover brackets, braces, air-compressor castings, mining gears and hydraulic parts. Green-sand or resin-bonded-sand molding can be selected for the actual drawing, with the complete material requirement and supplied condition defined for each item.

Choose the governing material designation

Requests name HT250, QT450, EN-GJL-250, EN-GJS450, ASTM A48 Class35, ASTM A536 65-45-12, FC250 and FCD450. Select the exact designation and governing document for the component, including any required full grade suffix and material condition. The named labels should support a defined material request rather than an assumed cross-standard equivalence.

Explain the interfaces and operating role

Provide the geometry and assembly relationships that determine how the casting is used. Mark mounting, locating or working surfaces and identify the dimensions needing particular acceptance. Describe the operating requirements relevant to the selected component so the material and shape can be considered together.

  • Submit the controlled drawing and component function.
  • Select the complete grade and molding route.
  • Mark mating geometry and dimensional acceptance.
  • Define required material, surface and functional checks.
  • State quantity and the condition required at delivery.

Make the casting enquiry specific to the part

Identify any additional work or inspection needed for the supplied component within the quotation brief. Keep the selected grade, drawing revision and acceptance requirements together for approval. This gives purchasing a consistent reference for discussing the actual machinery casting and evaluating the condition in which it will be supplied.
