Custom EN-GJS-500-7 iron ballast enquiries combine sand casting and machining for mining-equipment parts. Dimensions and tolerances are customized to the component requirement. The drawing should connect the required ballast geometry and mass distribution with the mounting arrangement used by the actual machine.
Describe the ballast at its installed position
Identify the equipment and the location of the component within it. Show the attachment points, contact areas and any clearance needed for installation or operation. The design brief should state the required mass arrangement and any checks needed to accept the part for that installation.
- Provide 2D PDF/CAD drawings or 3D IGES/STEP data.
- Give the drawing revision and required quantity.
- Mark machining interfaces and measurement datums.
- Define the supplied material condition and dimensional acceptance.
- Identify the finish, color and surface approval requirements.
Control the machined and finished interfaces
Specify the dimensions that need further work after casting and distinguish them from areas accepted in their cast state. Finishing follows the drawing or customer requirement. Mark any boundaries where the selected treatment must preserve a locating or fastening surface.
Establish the order’s approval record
Identify the material, dimensional and surface records required for the selected ballast. Any design-specific operating or installation checks should be included with the enquiry. ISO9001:2015 is the qualification reference; identify the applicable document and scope alongside the component acceptance requirements. Connect any sample approval to the controlled drawing and supplied condition used for production.
