Heat-treatment tooling and slag-handling vessels need their own component specifications. This made-to-drawing enquiry includes heat-treatment fixtures, trays, quenching baskets and tooling, as well as separate steel-mill slag-pot and slag-ladle requests. Identify the required object and operating duty before selecting the casting material and route.

Design the fixture enquiry around the furnace cycle

For heat-treatment fixtures, the stated working-temperature reference is 800–1050°C. Describe the selected process, such as quenching, hardening, tempering or annealing, together with the supported workpieces, contact arrangement and operating cycle. The required load and temperature belong to the chosen fixture design and material; they should be evaluated together.

Select the alloy and manufacturing scope

Heat-resistant steel, nickel-chromium alloy, stainless steel and high-nickel alloy are material enquiries. Investment casting, sand casting and CNC machining are stated manufacturing options, with shot blasting, heat treatment and custom finishing also available for discussion. Specify the actual alloy grade and the surfaces or interfaces needing finished dimensions.

  • Provide the vessel or fixture drawing and required custom dimensions.
  • Describe the thermal cycle, operating environment and handling arrangement.
  • Identify the selected material and any specified material standard.
  • Mark support locations, mating points and inspection dimensions.
  • State the required delivered condition and finishing scope.
  • Define acceptance checks for the ordered design.

Give a slag-pot request its own vessel requirements

A steel-mill slag pot or ladle enquiry should define vessel geometry, handling interfaces and the actual slag-handling duty. Fixture temperature and load references do not establish the vessel's rating. Custom sizes, non-standard designs and OEM/ODM work are named supply options, with a one-piece minimum order suited to an individually specified enquiry.
