Brass marine pump-impeller enquiries include sand/investment casting and CNC machining, with separate stainless-steel, high-carbon-steel or other copper-alloy components. OEM/ODM drawings or samples should identify the complete grade, actual medium and required pump duty for the selected item.
Define the impeller and CNC-controlled interfaces
CNC centers, milling and turning are named services. Show mounting, locating and working geometry with the datums controlling fit. Casting-related references are IT5–IT7 and CT5–CT7; machining references are ±0.005 mm, ISO2768-f and ISO-mk. Identify the actual document, convention, dimensions and supplied stage for each selected requirement.
Set the surface and service acceptance
Polishing, shot blasting and glass-bead sandblasting are named finishes. Specify coverage and the required contact or appearance condition for a compatible substrate. State marine exposure, fluid and rotating-duty checks needed for the actual design, with material and dimensional records for approval.
Identify applicable standards and documents
Standard families include DIN, AISI, SAE, ASTM, UNS, GOST, ISO, BS, EN and JIS. Name the complete document and edition for the component. Request relevant ISO9001, TS16949, ISO1400 and RoHS documents with their actual designation and scope.
- Provide quantity and the controlling revision.
- Define the required material condition and the service conditions used when assessing the selected pump interfaces.
- Explain the purpose of an initial impeller.
- Retain accepted geometry and finish changes with the order.
Keep approval connected to the selected pump component and its required supplied state.
