OEM and ODM iron-component enquiries cover valve parts and flywheels made by sand casting with CNC processing. Select grey iron or ductile iron and the complete grade for the actual drawing. The component’s function determines the interfaces, supplied condition and acceptance requirements to be agreed.

Define the approval deliverables early

PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, Control Plan and MSA are named quality-planning services. Identify the deliverables required for the order and the drawing revision they concern. The approval sequence should connect those records with the component’s actual material and dimensional requirements.

Allocate the measured dimensions by stage

CNC lathe and milling-center work are named. Machining references are ±0.005 mm and ISO2768-mk, while the casting reference is CT4–CT9. Assign the relevant dimensions, documents and checking arrangements to the delivered stage being assessed.

  • Mark valve connections or flywheel locating geometry for the selected item.
  • State quantity, grade and required material condition.
  • Identify design-specific valve-duty or rotating-service checks.
  • Define the final dimensional and surface records.

Match treatment to the selected iron

Annealing, quench-and-temper or ADI-related treatment should follow the chosen grade and required condition. Specify the applicable requirements for the actual component rather than treating these options as one common treatment cycle.

Close the surface requirement

Zinc plating, painting and powder coating are named finish choices. Identify the selected treatment and any masking around finished interfaces. Industrial, automotive or electrical-component requests should include their actual duty and appearance acceptance with the enquiry.
