Surface-treatment media and foundry molding material should be selected as different supply enquiries. This scope includes colorful synthetic-resin/plastic media for abrasive blasting and polishing, with separate resin-sand iron-casting requests. OEM, ODM and OBM customization is offered for automotive and other applications.
Select the grading for the actual surface process
The grain-size scope is 10–100 mesh with customization. Actual option labels include 12/16 mesh, 80/100 mesh and a 12/18 mesh specification. Identify the required grading and distribution for the selected material rather than interpreting these labels as one uniform particle size.
- Identify blasting/polishing media or foundry resin-sand material.
- Specify the required grading and physical form.
- Describe the workpiece or foundry process involved.
- Define the required result and material-evaluation conditions.
Define the abrasive-media requirement through the workpiece
Describe the surface operation and the workpiece material, with any appearance or dimensional requirements relevant to the process. Select the media grade and evaluation criteria for that application. Colorful appearance and synthetic-resin material identify the enquiry, while the selected process requirements establish its acceptance.
Evaluate hardened strength separately for resin sand
High strength after hardening is stated for the resin-sand enquiry. Identify the foundry use, hardening conditions and strength-test requirement for the chosen material. Those requirements should be assessed separately from blasting or polishing performance.
Agree the supplied grade and applicable warranty
A three-year warranty reference is supplied, with its terms to be agreed for the selected material and use. Specify the actual grade, required quantity and acceptance documents within the order. Keeping media and molding-material requirements identifiable gives the quotation a clear product and process scope.
