OEM/ODM aluminum-component enquiries cover A356 or ADC12 with low-pressure, gravity or sand-casting selection. Tooling, CNC lathe and milling-center work can be defined around the actual drawing, with T6 treatment requested for an appropriate selected alloy and delivered condition.
Choose the alloy and casting route
State the chosen alloy and its governing material standard, then identify the route requested for the component geometry. Provide tooling requirements and the surfaces that locate the finished part. The chosen alloy and material condition should accompany the design used for quotation.
Distinguish casting class from CNC limits
CT4–CT9 is the casting-tolerance reference. Machining references are ±0.005 mm and ISO2768-mk; identify the dimensions governed by individual limits and those following the applicable general-tolerance document. Mark the CNC datums and the stage at which final measurements will be accepted.
- Submit the component drawing and complete material designation.
- Specify casting and tooling requirements.
- Define T6 applicability and the required material condition.
- Mark CNC-finished interfaces and inspection criteria.
- State finish, quantity and quality-planning deliverables.
Set surface and approval requirements
Powder coating, painting and anodizing are finish choices for the selected component. PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, Control Plan and MSA are named planning references; agree the documents and approval scope needed for the order. Industrial-machinery, automotive and electrical-component projects should include their actual duty and acceptance requirements with the approved drawing.
