OEM/ODM aluminum sand-casting enquiries are offered alongside separate brass, stainless-steel, zinc-alloy and ductile-iron component requests. The ordered item can be defined by its drawing, selected material and the required color, surface finish and appearance acceptance.
Start with the component's material and drawing
Choose one metal and complete grade for the actual component, then identify the casting process requested for that geometry. Size and tolerances follow the customer's drawing, while the governing requirements follow the client brief. Mark the interfaces that establish how the casting fits within its assembly.
Describe the appearance that purchasing will accept
Appearance quality is a stated supply consideration. Provide the desired finish and color reference, and identify the surfaces on which visual consistency matters. A defined appearance standard helps the supplier understand whether a surface is primarily decorative, functional or both for the ordered item.
- Reference the drawing revision and full material designation.
- Mark critical dimensions and mating interfaces.
- Identify the casting route and required surface condition.
- Provide color or appearance references where needed.
- Specify quantity and the inspection records required.
Align inspection and protection with the finished part
Quality control is described as strict 100% inspection. Agree the dimensions, surface characteristics and material checks covered by the order's inspection plan. Bubble protection, carton and wooden-case packing are named, and ISO9001 qualification documentation can be requested within its applicable supplier and process scope. These requirements can accompany the approved drawing as one purchasing definition.
