Surface treatmentCustomers' Demand
Aluminum-alloy car-part enquiries are offered through custom sand casting with machining-center work where needed. Steel or carbon-steel machinery components are separate material requests, each defined by its own grade, geometry and required delivered condition.
- Identify the automotive or machinery component required.
- Provide the controlled drawing and complete material grade.
- Mark mounting and mating dimensions needing finishing.
- Specify material condition and the requested surface result.
- State quantity and inspection requirements for acceptance.
Connect the casting to its assembly role
Describe the component's use and the interfaces that determine installation or function. Select the actual casting route for the requested geometry. Mark the dimensions accepted after casting and any areas that require further machining so the enquiry addresses the finished part needed by the design.
Choose a suitable treatment for the selected alloy
Tempering and T6 are named heat-treatment enquiries to assign to an appropriate material and required condition. Specify the treatment and acceptance relevant to the actual grade rather than applying the same option to all component requests. Surface work follows customer demand and should be defined at the relevant areas.
Complete the component order brief
The minimum-order reference is 1000; agree its counting unit and applicability to the selected part. Request current supplier documents for ISO/TS16949:2002 and ISO9001 with their actual scope. Keep the drawing, material condition and inspection requirements aligned so purchasing evaluates the quoted component against one approved technical brief.
