Surface treatmentCustomers' Demand
Steel and carbon-steel components for automotive, machinery or construction projects need a defined drawing and finished supply scope. This custom OEM enquiry includes sand casting, coated-sand and gravity-casting requests, machining-center processing and customer-required surface treatment. The selected route should be identified for the actual grade and geometry.
Identify the component through its function and interfaces
Provide the part drawing and explain its position in the intended assembly. Mark mounting faces and other dimensions that control fit or operation. Automotive or construction-project terminology describes the enquiry area; the component requirements should define the material, finished interfaces and acceptance.
- Select the steel or carbon-steel grade and applicable standard.
- Provide the controlled drawing and requested quantity.
- Mark dimensions requiring CNC processing and finished inspection.
- Specify the required material condition and surface treatment.
Coordinate casting, machining and tempering requirements
The stated supply sequence is casting, machining if needed and surface treatment. Machining-center work and customized tempering are named scope. Identify the required tempering condition for the selected steel and the interfaces needing machining so the quotation addresses a coherent material and processing specification.
Establish the order and documentation basis
The minimum-order reference is 1000, with the actual order unit and component configuration to be agreed. ISO/TS16949:2002 and ISO9001 are named quality-control references. Identify the applicable current documentation and project scope required for purchasing, alongside the drawing and acceptance requirements. This allows the proposed casting and CNC work to be reviewed against the component that will actually be supplied.
