Fountain-pump impeller enquiries include custom grey-iron sand castings, with optional machining-center work and the requested surface treatment. Steel and carbon-steel machinery parts are separately selected material enquiries, each defined through its own drawing and required condition.
Show the impeller within the fountain-pump assembly
Provide the vane arrangement, hub or shaft interface and the dimensions that locate the impeller in the pump. Describe the intended fountain duty and the service-life requirements established by the design. These details give the grey-iron casting request a specific geometry and acceptance purpose.
Define machining and material condition
Machining-center work can address interfaces that need a finished dimension. Mark those surfaces and their tolerances on the drawing. Customized tempering is a named treatment enquiry for an appropriate selected material; specify the full grade and required condition for the actual impeller or separately ordered steel component.
- Submit the impeller drawing and chosen grey-iron grade.
- Dimension the vanes, hub and shaft connection.
- Mark interfaces requiring machining-center work.
- Specify treatment, finish and operating-duty acceptance.
- State quantity and the inspection records required.
Complete the order and qualification requirements
The minimum-order reference is 1000, with its counting unit and selected component scope to be agreed. Request applicable current supplier documents for ISO/TS16949:2002 and ISO9001. Keep the approved material, geometry and surface requirements with the order so the quoted impeller can be assessed against the fountain-pump design.
