Custom OEM automotive and machinery components can be requested with sand casting and CNC machining. Material and size follow customer requirements. Identify the complete grade, controlled drawing and condition needed from the actual part before agreeing its manufacturing and acceptance scope.
Define precision at the component’s working interfaces
Show mounting, locating and contact relationships within the intended assembly. Mark datums, dimensional limits and measurement conditions for the finished interfaces. Distinguish the cast-state form from surfaces requiring CNC work to achieve the selected part’s functional fit.
Specify the supplied surface and approval result
Identify working faces and visible areas with their required final condition. Define treatment coverage, masking and appearance criteria where relevant to the design. State the material, dimensional and surface records needed to approve the chosen component.
Agree warranty and qualification scope
A one-year warranty is stated. Define the covered component, start date and applicable terms for the order. Request relevant ISO9001 and TS16949 documentation with its supplier or activity scope alongside the actual component checks.
- Provide quantity and the controlling drawing revision.
- Explain the purpose of a sample or initial part.
- Specify protection within wooden-case packing.
- Retain approved material, geometry and surface changes with the order.
Keep the accepted CNC interfaces and supplied-state requirements identifiable so production approval and later component support refer to the actual automotive or machinery casting.
