PackingWooden Case
Aluminum intake manifolds are offered for car and truck engine applications in sizes and types defined by customer drawings. Enquiries cover sand casting, gravity casting and investment casting, with machining for the component. Customized logos and wooden-case packing are available.
Define the engine connection geometry
Identify the actual engine model and provide the manifold drawing with its controlling revision. Show mounting faces, fastener locations, passage connections and mating components. State the airflow and pressure-duty requirements for the intended engine configuration so the part can be assessed against its actual service conditions.
Link casting and machining to fit
Specify the aluminum alloy and selected casting route. Mark the interfaces requiring machining and the datums that govern their relationships. Define dimensional limits for the finished component and any surface condition needed at the engine connections. Keep these requirements tied to the supplied manifold rather than to a broad automotive-parts category.
Agree the manifold inspection plan
Each ordered aluminum intake manifold is covered by 100% inspection under the agreed component acceptance plan. Identify the dimensions, surfaces and records included in that inspection for the ordered intake manifold. Specify any additional tests required to approve the component in its intended assembly, together with their acceptance criteria.
Provide the quantity and any initial part-approval requirements. If a customized logo is requested, show its location and appearance on the drawing. Identify how approved geometry changes affect the engine interfaces and inspection plan. For a repeat order, retain the connection between the manifold design, selected alloy, manufacturing route and engine configuration so acceptance follows the same defined component.
