Machine and engine-component enquiries should identify the selected metal and finished geometry. This OEM scope includes brass, copper and bronze parts with sand- or gravity-casting requests and precision machining. Aluminum, steel, other alloys and hardened metals are additional material enquiries to define for the actual component.

Specify the cast component and machining interfaces

Provide the drawing and identify the dimensions that control installation or function. Select the full material grade and the casting route required by the design. Aluminum die casting and CNC machining are named options, with their scope selected independently for the component concerned.

  • Identify the component, grade and required quantity.
  • Provide the geometry and controlled drawing revision.
  • Mark cast dimensions and finished machining interfaces.
  • Specify the coating and required supplied condition.

Allocate additional fabrication work

Sawing, cutting, bending, punching, pressing and stamping are named fabrication operations. Select the work required by the actual part rather than treating every operation as a step for all castings. A precision-metal request should include a specific grade and dimensional requirement.

Select the coating for the metal and function

Phosphate treatment, painting, powder coating, zinc and nickel-chromium coatings are finishing choices. Identify the treatment required by the component and any mating areas needing particular instructions. The finish and dimensional acceptance should describe the part in its delivered condition.

Define full inspection for the application

Full inspection is included in the service scope. State the characteristics and records needed for automotive, medical, agricultural, rail, valve or textile applications as relevant. The selected drawing and project requirements should establish the component's actual acceptance without assuming an application approval.
