    Custom Made Cast Iron Part

Custom cast-iron and steel sand-casting enquiries are offered with machining when needed and surface treatment to customer demand. OEM/ODM support can be scoped around a drawing-defined component for automotive, medical-equipment, electrical-appliance or hardware applications.

Establish the part and its material requirement

Select the actual iron or steel grade and identify the assembly in which the part will be used. Dimensions follow customer requirements, so mark the functional interfaces and any restricted envelope areas on the drawing. The application context helps explain which material and dimensional requirements matter to the selected component.

Plan the machining after casting

Named resources include milling, lathe work, drilling and 3- or 4-axis CNC machining centers. Identify the operations needed to finish the mating surfaces, bores and other controlled dimensions. Distinguish those interfaces from surfaces that may remain cast, making the optional machining scope clear in the quotation.

Combine finishing and inspection in the acceptance brief

Surface treatment follows customer demand, and quality control is described as 100% inspection. Specify the finish, the areas to which it applies and the checks needed for dimensional and material acceptance. Connect these requirements to the drawing revision and the condition in which the part must arrive.

  • Provide grade, drawing revision and order quantity.
  • Mark cast and machined dimensions separately.
  • Specify finishing and finished-component checks.
  • Request applicable ISO9001, TS16949 or RoHS documentation within its supplier and product scope.
