OEM iron valve-handwheel enquiries include selected shell-moulding or sand-casting routes, optional machining and a sandblasted finish. Define the complete iron grade and actual handwheel drawing. The component’s operating geometry and valve connection should establish the required supplied condition.

Show the connection to the valve mechanism

Identify the stem or mounting interface and the datums controlling its position in the handwheel. Mark dimensions and contact conditions governing fit. Show the surrounding assembly information needed to assess installation and operation for the selected valve.

Define the operating shape and finished interfaces

Put the rim, spoke or other required form on the component drawing. Identify operating clearance and any design-specific acceptance relevant to use. Distinguish the general cast geometry from interfaces requiring machining, with measurement conditions stated for finished acceptance.

Set sandblasting and component approval

Define blast coverage, appearance and the contact condition needed at working surfaces. Identify material, dimensional and surface records required to approve the actual handwheel. Request applicable ISO9001 documentation with its supplier or activity scope alongside the inspection brief.

  • Provide quantity and the controlling drawing revision.
  • Specify the selected moulding route and material condition.
  • Explain what a sample or initial component must demonstrate.
  • Retain approved geometry and surface changes with the drawing.

Keep the accepted connection, working geometry and delivered-state definition attached to the order so production approval follows the handwheel required for the actual valve assembly.
