Custom motor bodies, engine-block housings and other sand-cast components can be requested in separately specified iron, stainless steel, steel or aluminum. Choose the actual component and complete grade before defining its supplied state. OEM/ODM geometry follows the required housing size, dimensions and shape.
Identify the motor or engine housing function
Show where the selected housing supports, locates or connects to adjoining equipment. Define mounting and mating geometry with the references controlling those relationships. State the operating duty and material condition relevant to that particular motor or engine application.
Decide the optional machining boundary
Identify housing interfaces requiring further work after casting. Distinguish those surfaces from regions accepted in the cast state and set dimensional limits for the final result. Agree measurement conditions where several housing relationships need to be assessed together during fit approval.
Specify the painted or treated condition
Painting, powder coating and oxidation are named surface options. Select a compatible process for the chosen substrate and define coverage, appearance and working-contact requirements. Mark areas requiring masking or a different supplied condition where finishing affects the housing’s installation.
Set the professional-inspection brief
Specify the actual checks and material, dimensional or surface records needed to accept the selected housing. Provide order quantity and the controlling motor-body or engine-component revision. Explain any initial assessment required and keep approved geometry and treatment decisions with that component’s definition for subsequent production requests.
