Special-shaped cast-iron sand-foundry parts can be requested with CNC precision machining and shot-blasted or polished surfaces. OEM/ODM enquiries may select a separate investment-casting route for the actual grade and component. Define the drawing and supplied state needed by the intended equipment.

Describe the special geometry and working role

Machinery, automotive, petrochemical and metallurgical parts need their own interfaces and service conditions. Show mounting, locating and contacting relationships with adjoining components. Mark datums and dimensions governing fit, with the material condition required for the chosen design.

Separate cast form from CNC-finished acceptance

Identify the surfaces and dimensions requiring final machining. State measurement conditions and any relationships assessed together for assembly fit. Distinguish these interfaces from areas supplied in their cast condition so the component’s required final result is clear.

Set shot-blasted or polished coverage

Define the selected process, appearance and final contact conditions at working surfaces. Identify masking where finishing affects installation or dimensional assessment. Specify material, dimensional and surface records needed to approve the actual special-shaped component.

  • The stated 100% inspection needs defined checks and measured features.
  • Identify acceptance criteria and reporting.
  • Provide quantity and the controlling revision.
  • Explain what an initial component must demonstrate.

Retain approved grade, geometry and finish changes with the drawing so production approval follows the actual iron casting and CNC-machined result for its selected application.
