Green sand cast pump bodies, casings and volutes are offered for industrial water-pump enquiries. Materials include grey cast iron, ductile iron and steel for a suitably defined component and route. Valve assembly and pipeline control are additional application directions requiring their own part specifications.
Define the fluid-handling component
Identify the pump or valve assembly and its actual interfaces. Show the passage geometry, connection faces and mounting features on the controlled drawing. Specify service media, pressure and flow duty where they govern the component requirements. Keep the selected material grade tied to that working environment and geometry.
Allocate casting, machining and polishing
The process covers casting, machining when needed and surface treatment, with polishing and machining listed. Mark features requiring further work and the dimensions that control fit. Define the supplied surface condition on functional areas separately from appearance requirements. Agree the actual operations and acceptance limits for the selected pump or valve component.
Prepare acceptance around the assembly
Identify governing datums and the dimensional relationships that must be assessed together. State the inspection methods, coverage and records required to approve the finished part. Include any applicable pipeline or application requirements in the quotation brief.
Wooden-case packing is offered for completed castings. Supply the required quantity and drawing revision, together with any initial component-approval stages. For replacement enquiries, distinguish the intended design from wear on an existing body or volute. Keep approved changes connected to the selected iron or steel grade, fluid duty and assembly interfaces before confirming repeat production.
