Relia OEM/ODM component enquiries can bring casting, machining, heat treatment and finishing into one defined supply request. Stainless steel, carbon steel and alloy steel are named materials for industrial machinery, automotive and electrical applications. Cast iron and aluminum are additional choices to specify for separate components.
Choose the route for the selected material
Investment, sand, die and gravity casting are named enquiry options. Identify the actual grade and route required for the component drawing. The wider capability menu should be narrowed to a viable material and process selection for the ordered part.
- Provide the component geometry and controlled revision.
- Select the full material grade and casting requirement.
- Mark lathe and milling interfaces with dimensional limits.
- Specify the heat-treated condition and surface finish.
- Identify quality-planning deliverables and acceptance criteria.
- State quantity and required application documents.
Allocate machining and heat treatment
CNC lathe work and CNC milling centers are named resources. Heat-treatment enquiries include annealing, quenching and tempering, and solid-solution treatment. Select the treatment appropriate to the grade and required delivery condition, with the finished machining dimensions established on the drawing.
Define surface and quality-planning requirements
Zinc plating, painting, powder coating and electropolishing are finishing choices. PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, Control Plan and MSA are stated quality-planning and control references. Specify the order-specific documents, inspection and approval steps needed by the project. Material, heat treatment, machining and finishing should be assigned to the same component and acceptance basis.
