Custom impeller enquiries should be developed from the pump's geometry and intended operating duty. This OEM/ODM scope includes 304 or 316 stainless steel, iron, aluminum and ductile iron, with separate carbon-steel requests. Investment casting with polishing and sand-casting enquiries are named routes, with CNC work available.
Define the vane geometry and shaft interface
Provide the impeller drawing, flow-path geometry and bore or shaft connection. Identify the finished dimensions that determine its fit within the pump. Describe the medium and operating conditions relevant to material selection and the project's acceptance requirements.
- Select the complete material grade and specification.
- Provide the impeller drawing and required quantity.
- Mark CNC interfaces and dimensional acceptance.
- Identify polishing, painting and custom-color requirements.
- State safety-related design and inspection criteria.
- Specify any application documents required for the order.
Select the route and finish for the actual grade
Choose investment or sand casting for the selected design and material. Identify any required CNC processing and the condition needed after polishing or painting. A customized color should be included with the component's finished-surface requirement.
Make service and document acceptance specific
Safety is a stated functional aim, so identify the design and acceptance requirements relevant to that duty. Define the exact document and applicable scope for ISO or GE references within the project request. Any flow, pressure or balancing requirement should be specified for the ordered impeller rather than inferred from its component name. The drawing, grade and finished acceptance should establish the actual pump part.
