Custom impellers should be selected through the blade geometry, material and mounting arrangement. This ODM enquiry includes grey-iron sand casting with GG20, GG25, GJL20 and GJL25 references. Carbon steel and stainless steel are separate material selections for the actual design.

Define the form and blade arrangement

Semi-open and closed forms are named, with four- or twelve-blade choices. Shape enquiries include curved, folded, serrated, straight, spiral, turbine and wavy blades. Identify the actual combination required by the drawing rather than assume every shape and blade count forms one configuration.

  • Specify the impeller diameter and controlled geometry.
  • Select the complete material designation and standard.
  • Identify form, blade count and blade shape.
  • Describe mounting orientation and mating interfaces.

Match the mounting and duty requirements

Orientation enquiries include horizontal, rotor down and universal. Define the intended installation and the interfaces that locate the impeller. State the operating duty and acceptance requirements relevant to that arrangement instead of assuming universal fit from an orientation label.

Select the finish for the ordered component

Polished, satin, painting and other requested finishes are named choices. Identify the desired result and any functional surfaces needing particular instructions. Keep the finish requirement aligned with the selected metal and component geometry.

Agree the grade and warranty scope

Specify the governing standard for GG20/GG25/GJL20/GJL25 or the separate steel selection. A three-year warranty is stated, with coverage to be agreed for the selected impeller. Quantity, dimensions and duty should establish the supplied item without an inferred flow, pressure or rotational rating.
