Surface treatmentCustomers' Demand
Agricultural tiller bushings can be discussed through a customized OEM sand-casting and machining enquiry. Ductile iron and separately selected steel or carbon steel are material requests to define against the bushing drawing, its mating parts and the intended tiller duty.
Draw the bushing around its assembly interfaces
Provide the bore, outside geometry and locating faces that control installation within the tiller assembly. Identify the dimensions requiring a machined condition and the clearances required by the design. The selected material grade and delivered condition should accompany these interface requirements.
Select the treatment for the actual alloy
Tempering and T6 are named heat-treatment enquiry references. Assign a suitable treatment and required condition to the selected alloy rather than applying the same treatment to every iron or steel request. State the wear, operating and service-life requirements that give the long-lasting description a practical acceptance basis for this bushing.
Define machining and surface work
Machining-center work is named within the casting, optional machining and surface-treatment scope. Mark the surfaces to be finished and specify the treatment required by the operating environment. This lets the quotation address the actual bushing condition rather than only its rough casting geometry.
- Supply the tiller-bushing drawing and selected grade.
- Mark mating interfaces and required dimensional limits.
- Define heat-treatment condition and surface requirements.
- Specify quantity and the inspection acceptance needed.
Complete the order and qualification brief
The minimum-order reference is 1000; agree the counting unit and order scope. Request applicable current documents for the ISO/TS16949:2002 and ISO9001 qualification references, with their actual supplier and process coverage.
