Custom manhole-cover enquiries include aluminum-alloy and ductile-iron material selection with sand-casting requests. Aluminum die casting and CNC finishing are separately defined services for the actual component drawing and required delivered condition.
Draw the cover and frame seating arrangement
Provide the clear opening, seat geometry and the dimensions that locate the cover within its frame. Identify the full material grade and the installation duty required by the project. These details give the casting enquiry a practical basis for discussing fit and acceptance.
Define the interfaces requiring CNC work
Mark the surfaces and dimensions that need a finished condition. Select the manufacturing scope for the actual metal and geometry, then identify the stage at which the controlled dimensions will be measured. Any load-class or component tests should be specified through the project's design and acceptance requirements.
- Submit the cover/frame drawing and selected material.
- Identify the requested casting and machining scope.
- Mark seating, clear-opening and mating dimensions.
- Specify surface condition and application checks.
- State quantity and the required inspection records.
Choose finishing and purchasing requirements
Sandblasting, powder coating and anodizing are finish choices for appropriate selected materials. Define treatment coverage and any areas needing protection. The minimum order is 50 pieces. Request applicable ISO9001 and IATF16949 supplier documents and scope, keeping the approved geometry, finish and installation-specific acceptance requirements together for the ordered cover.
