Custom sand-casting enquiries for machinery parts cover grey or ductile iron, with separate aluminum and steel requests. OEM and ODM scope includes mold work, CNC lathe work and milling-center processing. Select the complete grade and component drawing before defining the supplied condition and acceptance plan.
Allocate casting and finished-dimension requirements
The casting-tolerance reference is CT4–CT9, while machining references are ±0.005 mm and ISO2768-mk. Assign each requirement to the relevant dimensions, document and delivered stage. The datum arrangement should explain how the finished interfaces position the part within the industrial, automotive or electrical assembly.
Match the treatment to the selected alloy
Annealing, quench-and-temper and ADI-related treatment enquiries need the actual grade and required condition. Zinc plating, painting and powder coating are named finish choices. Identify the selected treatment, its acceptance criteria and any masking needed at controlled interfaces.
- Provide the drawing revision and quantity.
- Mark cast and finished areas with their measurement references.
- State the operating duty and material acceptance.
- Identify sample approval and the required inspection records.
- Define final surface and appearance acceptance.
Scope the quality-planning work
PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, Control Plan and MSA are named planning services. Identify the deliverables required for the actual order and connect them to its drawing revision and approval sequence. The enquiry should establish which records are needed before release and which checks accompany production of the finished component.
