Wheel-hub enquiries should identify whether the deliverable is a hub, cover, another cast component or its tooling. This OEM/ODM scope includes aluminum-alloy die-cast hub and cover requests, with separate cast-iron sand-casting and die-casting-mould enquiries. Size, color and surface finish follow customer requirements.
Define the hub or cover through its mating geometry
Provide the component drawing and identify the interfaces that must match the intended assembly. State the selected aluminum-alloy grade and required quantity. A free-wheel-hub request should describe the actual component and service requirements without relying on a generic hub name for fit.
- Identify hub, cover, other component or mould supply.
- Provide the controlled drawing and material grade.
- Mark mating dimensions and acceptance requirements.
- Describe the required color and surface condition.
Keep casting and tooling scopes distinct
An aluminum die-cast component, an iron sand casting and a die-casting mould need separate material and route requirements. Define the item to be supplied and any associated tooling work in the quotation. Each request should have its own geometry and delivered-condition specification.
Agree professional inspection and finished acceptance
Professional inspection is offered for the custom parts. Identify the dimensions and surface characteristics that establish acceptance for the chosen hub or cover. Specify the finishing result and any contact areas needing particular instructions. The drawing, material and service criteria should define the ordered component rather than an assumed vehicle or assembly compatibility.
