Polished aluminum-alloy machinery housings can be requested through sand or gravity casting with optional machining. Customized dimensions follow the actual component drawing. Select the complete grade and material condition around the housing’s working relationships and required supplied state.
Control the final housing interfaces
For the unsigned 0.01–0.05 mm tolerance requirement, identify controlled features and permitted deviations. Agree the processing stage and measurement conditions for acceptance. Show mounting, locating and mating geometry, distinguishing finished interfaces from regions accepted in the cast state.
Specify polished areas and final contacts
Define the faces receiving polishing and the required appearance or contact result. Mark coverage and any areas needing another supplied surface. Keep the selected finish connected to the actual aluminum condition and the housing’s installed relationship with adjoining equipment.
Set governing and inspection requirements
Document families include GB, ASTM, AISI, DIN and BS. Select complete requirements for the actual grade and component. The stated 100% inspection under an ISO9001 system needs defined checks and material, dimensional and surface records for approval.
- Wooden-box packing is referenced for the housing.
- Identify protection for polished contacts and visible areas.
- State the machinery component’s quantity and controlling design revision.
- Request applicable system documentation and relevant activity scope.
Explain the initial-housing assessment needed against its mating assembly. Retain approved grade, machining and surface decisions with the component definition used for further supply.
