A custom metal component can require both a suitable casting route and a deliberate plan for its finished features. This OEM service accepts sand-casting, investment-casting and die-casting enquiries alongside CNC machining capabilities. Define the intended component first, then select the forming and machining operations relevant to its material, geometry and production requirement.

Separate forming from feature-making

The casting route describes how the proposed metal blank will be produced, while machining addresses the features that need subsequent work. For an OEM component, distinguish the cast envelope from the dimensions and surfaces controlled by later operations. A component drawing can then identify the applicable machining scope without assuming every available operation belongs in the same manufacturing sequence.

  • Broaching and drilling can be discussed for defined component features.
  • Milling and turning are available machining options for the metal-part enquiry.
  • Wire EDM and laser machining provide additional operation choices.
  • Etching and chemical machining are included in the service scope.
  • Micro machining and rapid prototyping support separately defined component requirements.

Give the material choice its own decision

Available material capabilities cover aluminum, brass, copper, bronze, hardened metals, precious metals, stainless steel and steel alloys. Select the required material and condition for the actual component instead of treating those families as one interchangeable specification. The chosen metal should remain attached to its drawing and acceptance requirements when the proposed casting and machining route is discussed.

Request a defined finished metal component

An OEM enquiry is more useful when it explains what will be supplied after the selected operations are complete. Include the component revision, required quantity, critical dimensions and final surface requirements in that brief. For a cast-and-machined metal part, those decisions connect the production route to the finished item the buyer needs rather than to a broad collection of manufacturing terms.
