Customized ductile-iron pedal components are available as sand-casting enquiries with customer-defined size. Specify the complete iron grade and actual pedal drawing. The intended assembly and required supplied condition should establish the component’s functional and acceptance requirements.

Define the pedal’s connection and movement geometry

Show the pivot or mounting arrangement and its relationship to adjoining components. Mark datums and dimensions governing location, clearance and contact. State the operating conditions and working loads relevant to the design so material selection addresses the actual pedal being ordered.

Describe the contact surfaces and final result

Identify the areas through which the pedal performs its function. Distinguish cast-state surfaces from interfaces requiring a particular finished condition or additional work. Put dimensional limits and measurement conditions on the drawing for geometry controlling installation or operation.

Set material and component approval

Identify the material, dimensional and surface records needed for acceptance. Define any design-specific checks required by the intended assembly and the supplied state in which those checks are performed. Explain what a sample or initial pedal must demonstrate before production approval.

  • Provide quantity and the controlling revision.
  • Identify the governing iron specification and required condition.
  • Specify working and visible surface requirements.
  • Retain approved mounting and contact-geometry changes with the drawing.

Keep the selected grade and final supplied-state requirements attached to the order so acceptance follows the actual pedal component and its intended mechanical function.
