OEM/ODM gray-iron sand-casting enquiries include mold sets and separately defined machined iron components. Identify the deliverable and complete material requirement for the actual drawing. The size reference is 1–440 mm, with its relevant dimensions and applicability to the selected design to be agreed.
Separate tooling and part geometry
Specify whether the order concerns the mold set or an iron component produced to the required shape. Show mating, locating and working interfaces with the datums used to assess them. Define the supplied condition and the acceptance records appropriate to that deliverable.
Apply machining and roughness references
Machining precision is referenced as 0.01 mm and surface roughness as Ra1.6. Assign the dimensions, allowable limits, roughness unit and assessment stage on the drawing. Distinguish finished interfaces from geometry accepted in its cast state.
Define the required treatment
Polishing, plating, heat treatment, galvanizing and chrome treatment are named requests. Select a suitable method and describe coverage or masking at functional areas. For a Picking treatment enquiry, specify the actual required method before defining the order.
Set qualification and approval scope
Request applicable TUV, ISO, SGS and OHSAS documents with their exact identities and scope. Provide quantity and the controlled revision, including what any sample must demonstrate for material, geometry or appearance. Retain the chosen supplied-state definition through production approval so the mold or machined component is assessed against its own requirements.
