Custom OEM component enquiries include aluminum alloy, stainless steel, brass, copper, titanium and iron. Sand or investment casting and separate CNC-lathe, stamping, hobbing or forging work are selected for the actual item. Die-casting requests need a compatible material and their own manufacturing definition.
Define the blank and final component together
Identify whether the requested work begins from a casting, forming blank or other supplied material. The controlled drawing should show the finished geometry and any interfaces that must relate to one another. Robotics, aerospace, automotive and industrial-machinery requests each need their actual duty and approval requirements.
Assign the precision requirement to measurable areas
The tolerance reference is ±1 µm. Identify the dimensions, supplied stage and measurement arrangement to which it applies, including the relevant datum relationships. This gives the precision enquiry a defined acceptance basis for the selected geometry.
- Provide the drawing revision and complete material condition.
- Mark controlled interfaces and inspection locations.
- State quantity; sample orders and a one-piece minimum are named.
- Identify the required material, dimensional and surface records.
Select processing and appearance requirements
Heat treatment, polishing, plating, machining and anodizing are named processing or finishing requests, chosen for the substrate. Color is available by request within the stated color scope. Specify the selected treatment, masking boundaries and appearance acceptance, and tie any sample approval to the same drawing and supplied condition used for the ordered part.
