Custom OEM iron sand castings can be specified for machinery components using the actual part drawing and intended machine function. Select the complete iron grade and the condition required at delivery. A useful enquiry explains how the casting fits the machine and which characteristics determine its acceptance.
Describe the machine connection
Identify mounting points, locating faces and the geometry that mates with neighboring parts. Provide sections where internal form or wall transitions affect the component definition. Explain whether the part supports, encloses, guides or connects another assembly so the request has a functional basis.
Turn precision into drawing requirements
Mark the datum system and dimensions controlling the machine interface. State the acceptance limits and measurement stage for those dimensions. Where a reference part is used, distinguish intended geometry from wear or damage and identify where the controlled drawing takes precedence.
