QT600-3 pearlitic-iron sand-casting enquiries are offered for heavy-use diesel-engine crankshafts. Define the complete grade, governing standard and required condition with the actual crankshaft drawing. The engine duty and finished geometry should establish the acceptance requirements for the ordered component.
Locate the journals and mating geometry
Show the relationships between the journals, mounting references and other controlled interfaces on the drawing. Identify the datums used to check those relationships and the required supplied condition of each area. This gives the enquiry a clear basis for distinguishing the cast blank from the finished crankshaft geometry.
- Submit 2D PDF/CAD drawings or a 3D IGES/STEP model.
- State quantity and the controlled drawing revision.
- Identify the required material and pearlitic condition.
- Define strength, service duty and any design-specific testing.
- Mark dimensional and surface acceptance locations.
Assign the tolerance to the relevant stage
The stated tolerance reference is 0.01–0.05 mm. Define the applicable dimensions, convention and inspection stage rather than applying the same limit to every rough cast surface. The processing scope includes deburring, machining where needed and customer-requested surface treatment for the crankshaft being ordered.
Record acceptance and protect the finished interfaces
Quality control is stated as 100% inspection. Identify which material, dimensional and surface results are needed to approve the component, including any checks specified by the engine design. Wooden-case packing is named; include separation and contact-surface protection requirements appropriate to the delivered condition of the journals and mating areas.
