ServiceInvestment Casting Handle
Heavy stainless-steel components and investment-cast handles should be specified through their own drawings and acceptance requirements. This OEM enquiry includes SS304 and SS316 choices, sand- and lost-wax investment-casting routes, and finished machining. Passivation and polishing are named surface options.
Define the heavy component and machining interfaces
Provide the complete geometry, required material grade and component duty. CNC machining, lathing/turning, milling, boring and drilling are offered for the interfaces selected on the drawing. Identify the dimensions controlled after machining and the condition needed on receipt.
- Identify the heavy part or investment-cast handle.
- Select SS304, SS316 or the requested specified grade.
- Mark cast dimensions and finished machining requirements.
- Define roughness and dimensional acceptance.
- Select passivation, polishing and the required surface result.
- State quantity, packing and inspection-record needs.
Assign tolerance references to the correct part and stage
Machining references are up to IT7 and Ra 0.8–3.2, with the roughness unit and applicable surfaces to be agreed. The CT4–8 casting reference belongs to investment-cast handle orders. State those requirements for the relevant component rather than applying a handle-specific casting limit to every heavy part.
Specify the delivered finish and supply condition
Passivation and polishing can be selected according to the component requirements. Identify the treatment and any contact areas needing particular instructions. Multilayer wooden-box or pallet packing with a large internal plastic bag is the stated packaging scope. Keep the material, selected route, machining and finished acceptance tied to the actual part being supplied.
