PackageSpecific Requirements
Custom automotive castings should be ordered against the component drawing and selected alloy. This OEM/ODM enquiry includes stainless-steel and aluminum auto parts, with investment/lost-wax, sand and die-casting routes discussed for the requested design. Dimensions are customized, and machining can be included where needed.
Identify the component and its vehicle interfaces
Show the mounting geometry and dimensions that determine assembly. Identify the stainless-steel or aluminum grade required by the design and provide the controlled drawing revision. If the request concerns a replacement component, include the information needed to match that specific part rather than relying on a broad automotive description.
Select the route and material condition together
The stated supply sequence is casting, machining if needed and surface treatment. Solution heat treatment is named, with its application and delivery condition to be agreed for the selected alloy. The actual investment-, sand- or die-casting route should be identified for the component rather than applied indiscriminately to every material choice.
- Provide the part drawing, material grade and required quantity.
- Mark mating interfaces and dimensions needing finished machining.
- Identify the selected material condition and heat-treatment requirement.
- State the sandblasted surface and acceptance requirements.
- Describe any specific packaging requirements for the order.
- Identify the qualification documents required by purchasing.
Coordinate finishing with dimensional acceptance
Sandblasting is the named finish. Define the required surface condition and any areas where finishing instructions affect contact or measurement. Agree the inspection criteria against the finished-part drawing so the cast, machined and treated component has one acceptance basis.
Establish the relevant qualification scope
ISO9001, TS16949 and RoHS are stated references. Specify the relevant documents and scope for the ordered component. Those purchasing requirements should accompany the part specification and any application-specific acceptance criteria.
