Customized thickness is part of this grey-iron green-sand and resin-sand casting enquiry. OEM/ODM requests also cover separate zinc, aluminum, copper and steel components with selected metalworking operations. Identify the actual part and metal before defining its manufacturing scope.
Dimension thickness within the complete component
Provide the overall drawing with the thickness requirements and related geometry. Mark the dimensions that control assembly or function. For an iron casting, select the grey-iron grade and the green-sand or resin-sand requirement for that design.
Specify formed-metal work independently
Punching, stamping, bending and riveting are additional process enquiries. Select them for the requested metal component rather than treating them as a sequence required for every grey-iron casting. The quotation should identify the work and item to be supplied for each request.

Select the treatment and color for the metal
Electroplating, powder coating, sandblasting and lacquer are named surface choices. Custom color is accepted, with the required result defined for the actual component. Powder coating is a finish rather than a base-metal choice.
Define the testing required by the design
State the methods, characteristics and acceptance criteria needed for the selected product. A general testing reference should be developed into the inspection request relevant to that drawing. Material, thickness, process and finish should all describe the same supplied component.
