Pump-component enquiries can be defined through the cast geometry, thickness and required treatment. This OEM/ODM scope includes grey-iron sand castings, with custom color and surface requirements. Separate zinc, aluminum, copper and steel fabrication requests should identify their own component and manufacturing needs.
Dimension the pump casting and its thickness
Provide the component drawing with the wall or section thickness required by the design. Show the interfaces that locate the part within the pump assembly. Identify the iron grade and the finished conditions needed for the actual component.
Keep forming operations separate from the casting route
Punching, stamping, bending and riveting are additional fabrication enquiries. Select them for the actual metal part rather than assigning the complete operation list to the grey-iron casting. The quotation should define the item and work included within each supply request.

Select the finish and testing requirements
Electroplating, powder coating, sandblasting and lacquer are named surface choices. Choose the treatment for the selected metal and function, with any contact areas needing particular instructions. Testing is included as an enquiry scope; define the required method and acceptance for the ordered part.
Establish component-specific pump acceptance
Describe the operating duty and any service criteria required by the project. State the dimensions and records needed to accept the supplied component. The pump-casting request should be defined by its drawing and application requirements rather than an assumed pressure class or replacement fit.
