Cy-048 identifies a custom aluminum casting and machining enquiry with a cylinder-gasket component reference. Define the actual drawing and machinery function before selecting die, sand or gravity casting and any CNC work. Separate brass chamber or valve requests need their own alloy and component design.
Choose the grade and supplied form
Aluminum references are ADC10, ADC12, A360, A380, A390, 5052, 6061, 6063, 2017 and 7075. Assign the casting or machining route to an appropriate selected grade and incoming form. Specify material condition and the functional interfaces that require finished acceptance.
Define pattern and surface requests independently
For powder-pattern work, identify the pattern material and actual process requested. Surface options include powder coating, polishing, nickeling, anodizing and electrophoresis. Choose the treatment for the substrate and describe coverage, masking and appearance at the component’s mating or contact areas.
Connect inspection to the drawing
Dimensions follow customer drawings, with OEM/ODM service and small quantities available. The stated inspection scope is 100% before shipment; define its checks and records around the selected component’s geometry, material and surface. Include quantity and controlled revision in the order brief.
Set capacity and qualification scope
The production-capacity reference exceeds 50 tons per month. Agree current allocation for the selected grade and work package. Request applicable ISO9001, IATF16949 and ISO14001 documents and scope alongside the part-approval requirements, keeping qualification and production acceptance attached to the actual supply.
