OEM casting enquiries include machined ductile-iron pump and agricultural components, with separately selected stainless-steel, CA15, brass and other alloy parts. Choose the complete grade and the sand- or investment-casting route for the actual drawing. The part’s operating and durability requirements should define its supplied condition and acceptance.
Describe the pump or agricultural component
Show the mounting and mating interfaces that determine assembly fit. For a pump part, include the internal geometry and service conditions relevant to its function. Agricultural requests should identify the machinery use and design-duty checks needed for the specific component.
- Provide the controlled drawing revision and required quantity.
- State the full material specification and condition.
- Mark functional datums and finished dimensions.
- Define material, dimensional and surface records.
Allocate machining and polishing requirements
Casting, machining when needed and CNC work are named, with tolerances following the customer drawing. Identify the interfaces requiring further operations and the final condition accepted at them. Polishing or another customer-requested surface treatment should include coverage and masking boundaries at contact areas.
Scope inspection and qualification
The component scope states 100% inspection; agree the actual checks and records for the delivered geometry and material. Identify applicable ISO9001, TS16949 and RoHS documents and scope. Industrial, automotive, medical or furniture enquiries need their own functional requirements, with sample approval connected to the selected drawing and supplied condition rather than an assumed industry approval.
