    Customers' Demand

Custom industrial casting enquiries include grey-iron sand-mold parts and separately selected steel or carbon-steel machinery components. The OEM request can define machining-center work and surface treatment around the actual part drawing and its required delivered condition.

Choose the component and material first

Identify the function of the casting within the industrial machinery and specify the complete grade. Provide the geometry and mounting or mating interfaces used by the design. A grey-iron request and a steel-component request should each carry their own material and manufacturing brief.

Set the machining and treatment requirements

Mark the dimensions that require machining-center work and identify the surfaces accepted in the cast condition. Customized tempering is a named heat-treatment enquiry; define the treatment suitable for the selected grade and the material condition needed at delivery. The surface treatment should likewise be selected for the actual component and operating environment.

  • Reference the controlled machinery-part drawing.
  • Select grey iron, steel or the required carbon-steel grade.
  • Mark cast dimensions and finished machining interfaces.
  • Specify heat-treatment condition and surface requirements.
  • Define quantity and material/dimensional acceptance.

Connect purchasing requirements to the selected part

The minimum-order reference is 1000; agree its unit and order scope for the component being quoted. Request relevant current qualification documents for ISO/TS16949:2002 and ISO9001 with the actual supplier scope. The accepted grade, drawing and finished-condition brief can then guide quotation and component approval together.
