Custom component enquiries include aluminum castings referenced to A380, ADC12 or AlSi7Mg and separately specified steel parts. Choose a compatible die-, sand- or investment-casting route for the actual grade and geometry. OEM/ODM supply should identify the required material condition and component state.
Define the part for its application
Automotive, motorcycle and industrial requests need the actual mounting arrangement and working duty. Show the interfaces with adjoining components and the locating references governing fit. Identify the material and final-condition requirements relevant to that selected design.
Assign tolerance and machining limits
The unsigned 0.05–0.2 mm reference needs applicable dimensions, permitted deviations and the supplied stage agreed. Aluminum die-cast requests can include machining of selected interfaces. Distinguish the cast geometry from finished contacts and specify how their relationships will be measured.
Choose substrate-compatible finishing
Painting, hot-dip galvanizing, shot blasting and polishing are named requests. Select the actual process for a suitable material and define its coverage and final result. Mark masking and working contacts where surface work affects the component’s dimensional acceptance or installed relationship.
- Identify the complete governing grade for each separate part.
- Provide the component quantity and controlling revision.
- Define material, dimensional and surface approval records.
- Request applicable TS16949 documentation and activity scope.
Keep accepted route and finishing changes within the part-specific order definition used for repeat production for the selected industrial or automotive assembly.
