Custom aluminum parts can be quoted from a customer's 3D drawing with the required color and surface condition identified at the outset. This OEM/ODM enquiry covers aluminum die-casting service, with sand- and wax-casting requests considered separately for the specified industrial component.
Make the drawing describe the part to be received
Provide the controlled geometry and dimensions for the ordered component. Identify the interfaces that determine installation, together with the required aluminum grade and quantity. Where both a model and dimensioned drawing are supplied, use the same revision and show the dimensions that govern acceptance.
Select the casting route for that design
Die casting, sand casting and wax casting are separate route enquiries. Describe any process requirement already established by the design, or ask the quotation to identify the proposed route for the selected material and geometry. The route and finished-part specification should describe one agreed supply scope.
- Submit the 3D drawing and controlled dimensional requirements.
- Name the aluminum grade and requested batch quantity.
- Mark critical mating surfaces and acceptance dimensions.
- Identify the selected casting-route requirement.
- State the desired color and surface condition.
- Define the inspection evidence needed for the component.
Coordinate appearance and functional surfaces
Color and surface treatment follow customer requirements. Describe the desired appearance and any contact areas where finishing instructions affect fit or use. Since no single coating type is fixed for every enquiry, identify the treatment required by your design within the quotation request.
Identify the relevant qualification scope
ISO9001:2015 is the stated qualification reference. Specify the supplier documentation and scope required by your purchasing process. Align that request with the component drawing and inspection criteria so technical and procurement requirements refer to the same order.
