Custom OEM/ODM aluminum-component enquiries cover selected sand or die casting, with separate stainless-steel and ductile-iron requests. In-house tooling design, mold manufacturing and prototyping are named services. Define the material grade, actual route and whether the quotation concerns tooling, prototype components or production parts.
Match the tolerance to the selected process
References are CT4–CT6 for investment casting and CT10–CT12 for sand casting. The smooth-finish reference is Ra 1.6–3.2, with its unit and applicable surfaces to be agreed. Assign requirements to the actual drawing and supplied stage, identifying the interfaces that control assembly.
Prepare the tooling and finish definition
Accepted files are STEP, STP, IGES, DXF, DWG and PDF. Keep their geometry and revision consistent with the requested deliverable. Surface choices include shot blasting, powder coating, hot-dip galvanizing, E-coating and painting; select a compatible treatment and define coverage and masking for the chosen metal.
Set the inspection coverage for the part
The quality scope names 100% inspection, spectrometer analysis, CMM, projector, caliper and salt-spray testing. Agree which checks apply to the component and how their coverage, conditions and acceptance will be recorded. Connect sample approval to those requirements before establishing production acceptance.
Identify qualification scope separately
ISO9001, IATF16949, AS9100, CE and RoHS are qualification or conformity references. Identify the applicable documents, object and scope alongside the requested quantity and component condition, so the order has a defined technical and qualification basis.
