Custom automotive and industrial enquiries include aluminum-alloy wheels, separate iron gears and steel components. Select a compatible die- or sand-casting route around the actual drawing. OEM/ODM work can include machining where needed and the surface condition required for the supplied part.

Specify the wheel or gear geometry being ordered

For a wheel, show mounting and locating relationships with the intended assembly. For an iron gear, identify the required tooth and mating geometry. State the complete material grade, operating duty and component acceptance requirements relevant to the actual design.

Define the dimensional convention and final surface

The tolerance reference is 0.1–0.05 mm; agree the intended limits, convention, controlled dimensions and supplied stage. Mark datums and measurement conditions at the interfaces determining fit. Polishing is named and color follows customer requirements, with coverage and contact conditions to specify.

  • Provide quantity and the controlling component revision.
  • Distinguish cast-state areas from required finished interfaces.
  • Define material, dimensional and appearance records.
  • Identify the purpose of a sample or initial part.

Connect qualification to the actual component

Request applicable ISO9001:2008 and IATF16949 documents with their automotive or industrial scope. Identify the examination and acceptance required by the selected wheel, gear or other part. Identify the interfaces and operating conditions covered by each required examination. Keep approved material, geometry and surface changes attached to the drawing so production approval follows the component actually ordered.
