Mining-related metal sand castings can be requested with stainless steel, aluminum, iron, zinc alloy or brass specified for the actual component. Stainless references are 304, 316 and 2205. Select the complete material specification and compatible route, keeping die-casting and machining requests separate from the chosen sand-cast item.
Describe the mining component’s working relationships
Show mounting, locating and mating geometry with the adjoining equipment. State the service conditions relevant to the selected design and material condition. Automotive, motorcycle and industrial enquiries also require their actual application duty and component scope.
Place precision at the supplied stage
The unsigned 0.05–0.2 mm requirement needs applicable features and permitted deviations defined on the drawing. Identify the processing stage and measurement conditions used for acceptance. Distinguish cast-state geometry from interfaces needing a particular finished result.
Select compatible surface processing
Painting, hot-dip galvanizing, shot blasting and polishing are named finish requests. Assign the chosen operation to its actual substrate and identify coverage. Define appearance, working contacts and masking where finishing affects installation or dimensional assessment.
- OEM/ODM requests should state component quantity and controlling revision.
- Identify material, dimensional and surface approval records for the mining part.
- Request applicable TS16949 documentation and activity scope.
- Retain accepted grade and process decisions with the selected item.
Confirm further supply against the approved component’s actual duty and supplied condition for its selected mining installation.
