Custom train-related parts can be requested as stainless-steel or separately specified cast-steel sand castings. Independent die-cast metal-model and coating enquiries need their own item and material definitions. OEM/ODM supply should establish the actual deliverable and condition required by its intended use.
Define the railway part or separate model
For a train component, provide the working duty, mounting relationships and interfaces with adjoining parts. For a model request, describe the item and compatible route being sought. Select the complete grade and drawing for each order rather than combining these scopes into one configuration.
Make precision and appearance requirements explicit
Mark locating references and dimensional limits controlling the selected item’s fit. Establish measurement conditions for relationships evaluated together at acceptance. Customized color and any requested coating need the actual process, substrate, coverage and final appearance defined.
Agree approval evidence and package
Request applicable ISO9001:2015 documentation with the relevant holder and activity scope. Identify material, dimensional and surface records required for the chosen component’s acceptance. Wooden packing is named; specify protection appropriate to its geometry and supplied condition.
- State the train part or model quantity and current drawing revision.
- Explain the required initial-item assessment for the selected design.
- Retain accepted grade, interface and coating changes with the item definition.
Confirm further supply against that approved scope and the actual component’s working requirements and required assembly relationships.
